Behavior Technician - School Setting

About the role

Support K-12 students with autism and behavioral needs in special education classrooms. Work closely with teachers to implement behavior plans and provide one-on-one and small-group assistance during predictable weekday school hours.

What you'll do

• Help implement academic adaptations, behavior plans, and individualized education plans
• Provide one-on-one and small-group student support
• Assist with student self-care and social or behavioral needs
• Maintain a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
• Support students in crisis situations
• Use varied learning methods to improve student engagement

What you'll bring

• Associate degree or higher from a US-accredited institution, or a high school diploma and a ParaPro Assessment score of at least 456
• At least six months of experience supporting people with special needs
• Professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and safely assist students
