Para Educator - Hiring Now

About the role

Support special education students as a paraprofessional or classroom aide during the 2026–2027 school year. Assist teachers with instructional duties, learning activities, behavioral support, personal care, and individualized student assistance. Schedule is Monday through Friday within the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 or 4:30 p.m., approximately 25–30 hours per week.

What you'll do

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Individualized Education Plans
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
• Promote student self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and engagement
• Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and staff to provide consistent student support
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including toileting, feeding, and dressing

What you'll bring

• High school diploma
• Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• English proficiency
• U.S. work authorization
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to remain on your feet and move around the classroom throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and safely assist students
• 48 college credits preferred
• CPI or Pro-Act training preferred
• Two years of experience working with children preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
