Assistant Teacher - Immediate Start

About the role

Help enhance student learning in special education classrooms while supporting children with a range of mild, moderate, and severe needs. The position follows a Monday-to-Friday school-day schedule.

What you'll do

• Help licensed staff implement academic adaptations and individualized education plans
• Provide individual and small-group support for student self-care and behavioral needs
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment
• Assist students during crisis situations
• Use multiple instructional methods to encourage engagement

What you'll bring

• Associate degree or higher from a US-accredited institution, or a high school diploma and a ParaPro Assessment score of at least 456
• At least six months of experience supporting people with special needs
• Professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and safely assist students
