About the role

Provides direct classroom and behavioral support to students with specialized educational needs under teacher supervision. The role includes individualized interventions, progress monitoring, classroom collaboration, and personal care during the 2026-2027 school year.

What you'll do

• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans for students with autism and emotional or behavioral needs
• Use positive reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, and proactive behavioral support
• Provide one-on-one and small-group student support
• Help students build self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and classroom engagement
• Collaborate with teachers and behavior specialists to maintain a structured learning environment
• Track and document behavioral incidents, triggers, responses, and outcomes
• Share observations and coordinate support strategies with staff and families
• Assist students with toileting, feeding, mobility, and other daily routines

What you'll bring

• High school diploma
• Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs
• Experience providing personal care support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• Authorization to work in the United States
• English proficiency
• Passion for supporting students
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain provided certification
• Ability to remain on your feet and move around the classroom throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and safely assist students
• Experience supporting children with autism or complex emotional needs preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies preferred
