Instructional Assistant - Hiring Now

About the role

Support students with mild, moderate, and severe special education needs in a structured classroom environment. The position follows a Monday-to-Friday school-day schedule, generally between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 or 4:30 p.m.

What you'll do

• Assist licensed classroom staff with academic adaptations and individualized education plans
• Support students individually and in small groups with self-care and social or behavioral needs
• Maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to learning
• Provide timely support during student crisis situations
• Use varied learning methods to improve engagement and outcomes

What you'll bring

• Associate degree or higher from a US-accredited institution, or a high school diploma and a ParaPro Assessment score of at least 456
• At least six months of experience supporting people with special needs
• Professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization
• Ability to remain active throughout the day and lift up to 20 pounds
