About the role

Work alongside licensed educators to support students with specialized learning, self-care, social, and behavioral needs. The role is based in a special education classroom and follows weekday school hours.

What you'll do

• Assist with individualized education plans and academic adaptations
• Work with students individually or in small groups
• Support student self-care and social or behavioral needs
• Maintain a safe learning environment
• Respond promptly to student crisis situations

What you'll bring

• Associate degree or higher from a US-accredited institution, or a high school diploma and a ParaPro Assessment score of at least 456
• At least six months of experience supporting people with special needs
• Professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization
• Ability to be active throughout the school day and lift up to 20 pounds
