Full-Time Paraeducator Job - Special Education

About the role

Full-time school-year role supporting students with special education needs in Midway City, California. The paraeducator assists teachers with instruction and learning activities, provides individualized student support, implements education and behavior plans, and may assist students with personal care. The schedule is Monday through Friday during school hours, typically 25 to 30 hours per week.

What you'll do

• Support teachers with instructional duties and classroom learning activities
• Provide personalized assistance to students with special education needs
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Individualized Education Programs
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage student participation and educational success
• Assist with toileting, feeding, dressing, or other personal care when needed

What you'll bring

• High school diploma
• Experience supporting individuals with special educational needs
• English proficiency
• At least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or relocation assistance
• Ability to meet any additional physical requirements identified during the application process
• Forty-eight college credits preferred
• CPI or Pro-Act training preferred
• Two years of experience working with children preferred, particularly students with significant behavioral challenges
