About the role

Full-time assistant teacher and school aide role supporting students with mild, moderate, and severe special education needs. The position focuses on behavioral intervention, targeted student assistance, classroom collaboration, progress monitoring, and communication with education teams and families.

What you'll do

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use positive reinforcement, de-escalation, and proactive behavior supports
• Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support
• Help students build self-regulation, social-emotional skills, and classroom engagement
• Collaborate with teachers and behavior specialists
• Track behavioral incidents, triggers, responses, and outcomes
• Communicate with special education staff, behavior analysts, and families
• Prepare learning tools and supervise students during activities and transitions

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Experience providing personal care
• Professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization
• CPR and First Aid certification, which may be provided to otherwise qualified candidates
• Ability to remain active throughout the school day and lift up to 20 pounds
