Personal Care Attendant - Immediate Start

About the role

Provide substitute classroom support for students with mild, moderate, and severe special education needs. Assist licensed teachers with academic adaptations, personal care, classroom management, and social or behavioral support.

What you'll do

• Help the classroom teacher maintain a safe learning environment
• Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance and reinforce lessons
• Support implementation of individualized education programs
• Assist with classroom communications and differentiated learning needs
• Redirect behavior and implement behavior management plans
• Facilitate positive interactions between students with disabilities and their peers
• Support personal care and hygiene, including toileting, feeding, and dressing

What you'll bring

• At least 48 college credits or an associate degree or higher
• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Experience providing personal care
• Passion for working in special education
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship
• Professional proficiency in English
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain provided certification
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and assist students physically
• Ability to remain active and move around the classroom throughout the day
