About the role
Hatley Health Care Inc is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents in Chilton County, Alabama. Working within Nursing Services, you will provide compassionate personal care that promotes comfort, dignity, safety, and independence. Daily duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and positioning, recording vital signs, and promptly reporting changes in residents' conditions to the Charge Nurse. This onsite role requires active Alabama CNA certification, clear communication, and a patient, respectful approach to working with elderly residents. You will follow care plans, infection prevention practices, resident rights requirements, and HIPAA privacy procedures while collaborating with nursing staff and families. What you'll do
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, oral care, meals, and other daily living needs.
- Record vital signs, assigned weights, and daily care activities accurately.
- Respond promptly to call lights, conduct scheduled rounds, and assist with mobility and positioning.
- Report condition changes, accidents, resident concerns, and safety hazards to the Charge Nurse.
- Maintain clean resident spaces and follow infection control, HIPAA, and resident rights procedures.
- Participate in care planning, staff meetings, and continuing education.
What you'll bring
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing with the State of Alabama.
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for resident care and documentation.
- Patience, tact, and a positive attitude toward elderly residents.
- Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff and remain calm under stress.
- Ability to perform essential physical duties, including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
