About the role

Home Health Connection, an established homecare agency accredited by The Joint Commission, is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for private duty pediatric and adult care. Opportunities serve Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Howard County, and Frederick County, Maryland. Nurses provide individualized care for patients with complex medical needs, including tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and ventilators. School-hour shifts are available for summer and the upcoming school year. Applicants should bring strong pediatric clinical skills, current CPR certification, and at least one year of recent direct patient care experience. Current Maryland or Virginia nursing licensure is required as applicable to the assignment. An RN with IV certification is required for the central-line patient receiving total parenteral nutrition. This role emphasizes safe care, clear documentation, and collaboration with families and the clinical team.

What you'll do

  • Provide individualized private duty nursing care within the assigned care plan.
  • Manage tracheostomy, feeding tube, and ventilator care within licensure and competency.
  • Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the clinical team.
  • Document assessments, medications, treatments, and patient responses.
  • Coordinate care with families, caregivers, and school personnel as appropriate.
  • Provide central-line and TPN care when assigned as an IV-certified RN.

What you'll bring

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active RN or LPN license in Maryland or Virginia, as applicable to the assignment.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least one year of pediatric direct patient care experience within the past three years.
  • Strong clinical skills caring for patients with tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and ventilators.
  • RN licensure and IV certification for the central-line and TPN assignment.
