About the role

Full-time special education paraprofessional and classroom aide role for the 2026–2027 academic year. Support students with mild, moderate, and severe special education needs through individualized assistance, IEP implementation, behavior strategies, and personal care.

What you'll do

• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Provide one-on-one and small-group assistance to students with special needs
• Reinforce lessons and help implement IEP objectives
• Support differentiated classroom communications and materials
• Redirect behavior and implement behavior management plans
• Facilitate positive interactions between students with disabilities and their peers
• Use varied learning methods to support student development
• Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and dressing

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Experience providing personal care
• Passion for working in special education
• United States work authorization
• Professional proficiency in English
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain provided certification
• Ability to remain on your feet and move around the classroom throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and safely assist students
