About the role

Software Development Engineer supporting Raytheon's Radar Product Line Team. The role involves developing and testing real-time embedded software, application software, and engineering tools while collaborating with project managers and other engineering professionals. A U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.

What you'll do

• Assist with requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools
• Develop new software products and enhance existing applications and systems
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions
• Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals
• Follow established development and configuration management practices

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
• Software development experience or education
• Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government-issued security clearance before the start date
• Experience with C++, C, Java, or a similar high-level programming language
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, and the software development lifecycle
• Experience with Unix or Linux operating systems
• Experience developing software in a team environment, preferably using Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or test automation
