Maintenance Mechanic Lead, Portland Gap Shift - Full Time

About the role

Leads maintenance staff and oversees the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment and building systems in an automated warehouse facility, with responsibility for compliance, inventory, budgeting, reporting, and staff training.

What you'll do

• Supervise, assign, and inspect maintenance work
• Participate in hands-on equipment maintenance and repairs when required
• Estimate project labor, materials, and resource needs
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Prepare maintenance reports and analyze adverse trends
• Maintain cost-effective spare-parts inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFRP, and facility safety requirements
• Monitor maintenance labor and expense budgets
• Train and instruct maintenance personnel

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two to five years of relevant experience
• Experience operating and maintaining a warehouse distribution center or equivalent
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, maintenance, and repair fundamentals
• Knowledge of automated industrial production equipment
• Proficiency with OSHA and applicable state and local safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English
• Computer and handheld technology proficiency
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
