Maintenance Mechanic I, China Grove - Full Time, Nights

About the role

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, automated warehouse systems, powered industrial truck batteries, and facility equipment during the night shift.

What you'll do

• Inspect equipment and diagnose mechanical malfunctions
• Repair, replace, assemble, and test defective machine parts
• Perform preventive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment
• Install, recharge, repair, and maintain powered industrial truck batteries
• Perform basic electrical repairs involving motors, fuses, and switches
• Operate grinders, drill presses, cutting torches, and welding machines
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow OSHA, state, local, and company safety standards

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent encouraged
• Two years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
