Remote Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition

About the role

Join Speechify's AI data team to build and operate petabyte-scale data acquisition and ingestion infrastructure supporting model training. The company operates in a 100% distributed setting with no office.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and integrate them into the ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend GCP cloud infrastructure managed with Terraform
• Collaborate with scientists to improve data cost, throughput, quality, and scale
• Help create the AI team's dataset roadmap for consumer and enterprise products

What you'll bring

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Proficiency with Bash and Python scripting in Linux environments
• Proficiency with Docker and infrastructure-as-code concepts
• Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with web crawlers or large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
