About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a night-shift Data Center Manager to lead teams maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. Compensation includes a listed annual base salary of $78,300, with sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, recruit, and train data center technicians and operations staff.
- Prioritize trouble tickets, hardware repairs, staffing schedules, and equipment logistics.
- Monitor operational KPIs and ensure compliance with safety standards and service commitments.
- Direct outage response and coordinate on-call coverage across the team.
- Improve workflows, document procedures, and sponsor automation and technical improvements.
What you'll bring
- At least 4 years of IT experience or a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
- At least 2 years of operations and on-call support experience in data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Availability for night shifts, on-call duties, travel between sites, and temporary assignments at alternative facilities.
- U.S. citizenship required for logical access to AWS GovCloud effective February 24, 2026.
- Hardware troubleshooting, technical writing, system management tools, and relevant IT certifications preferred.
