About the role

Join Naval Nuclear Laboratory in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, to modernize the financial systems supporting the Naval Reactors Program. As an Advanced Software Developer within the Business Systems Program Management Office, you will enhance Enterprise Resource Planning, Time Management System, and Enterprise Performance Management platforms while supporting secure cloud and SaaS migrations. You will collaborate with finance, procurement, information management, IT, and HR teams to translate business needs into reliable software, integrations, and reporting capabilities. The role also supports AI and machine learning initiatives that improve forecasting, budgeting, analytics, and decision making. NNL fosters a culture of trust, empowerment, and collaboration while supporting the safety and reliability of naval nuclear propulsion. NNL personnel are employees of Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications within the stated annual range.

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance ERP, TMS, and EPM components and support cloud and SaaS migrations.
• Contribute to AI/ML solutions for forecasting, budgeting, and anomaly detection.
• Build integrations, data pipelines, dashboards, and near real-time reporting capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and validate features through testing and documentation.
• Apply software development best practices, security standards, and responsible AI guidelines.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to improve financial operations.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a related master's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified matter following a Federal background investigation.
• Ability to pass a drug test under company policy and 10 CFR 707, including testing for marijuana.
• Preferred experience with ERP/TMS/EPM cloud platforms, Java or similar languages, relational databases, and data pipelines.
• Preferred familiarity with Azure, REST APIs, ETL tools, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and AI/ML service integrations.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
