Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

Mindlance is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support technology initiatives for a healthcare agency serving clinics, hospitals, and outpatient facilities in Albany County, New York. This role manages projects involving new or updated systems, software, hardware, and infrastructure supporting Office of Mental Health business operations. You will coordinate stakeholders, maintain project documentation, track schedules and risks, and facilitate technical meetings and application demonstrations. Working closely with business analysts and technical leads, you will ensure requirements are documented and approved changes are reflected in project plans. The successful candidate brings strong organizational skills, clear communication, and experience guiding multiple technology projects through implementation while following New York State project management processes. What you'll do

• Manage concurrent application, hardware, and infrastructure implementation projects.
• Maintain project schedules, assignments, estimates, and documentation using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, technical discussions, and application demonstrations.
• Deliver status reports covering progress, project metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Partner with business analysts to document requirements and manage approved scope changes.
• Coordinate test planning with technical leads and follow NYS project management directives.

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience managing complex IT implementation projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk management, and change control.
• Ability to coordinate business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams.
• Experience supporting requirements documentation and software testing activities.
• Healthcare or public-sector project experience and familiarity with NYS processes preferred.
