Occupational Therapist (OT)

About the role

Ballinger Memorial Hospital District seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation and help guide its occupational therapy program. Serving inpatients and outpatients, you will evaluate functional needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and use therapeutic techniques that support independence at home, school, work, and in the community. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers, monitor patient progress, and help maintain program policies consistent with regulatory standards and clinical best practices. The hospital district provides outpatient services, acute and swing bed care, and a Level IV trauma emergency department. Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities are available. All employees participate in the TCDRS retirement plan with an employer contribution, while eligible full-time employees receive additional insurance and disability benefits.

What you'll do

• Assess patient abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions that improve daily living skills and functional independence.
• Develop and coordinate occupational therapy program policies, objectives, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, caregivers, and community resources to support rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment approaches as needed.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and occupational therapy best practices.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or equivalent qualifying education.
• Current Texas occupational therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
• Experience and sound clinical judgment in planning and delivering patient care.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate care for inpatient and outpatient populations.
