Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA), Pulmonology

About the role

Sidney Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing Pulmonology team in the Specialty Clinic in Sidney, Nebraska. This onsite role supports patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions through both inpatient and outpatient care. Working alongside physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, you will provide comprehensive assessments, guide diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and support ongoing disease management. What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical examinations for patients with pulmonary disorders.
• Diagnose and manage conditions including COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, sleep apnea, and lung infections.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on imaging, pulmonary function tests, and sleep studies.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans and prescribe therapies within applicable regulations.
• Educate patients and families on prevention, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and symptom management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care, monitor outcomes, maintain timely EMR documentation, and support quality improvement.

What you'll bring

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Nebraska licensure appropriate to the role; Nurse Practitioners must hold Nebraska RN and NP licenses.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• One to two years of pulmonology, internal medicine, or related specialty experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaborative care skills.
