Maintenance Technician III - Carpenter Specialty

About the role

MI Windows and Doors, part of MITER Brands, is seeking a Maintenance Technician III with a carpentry specialty for its manufacturing facility in Venice, Florida, near Nokomis. This full-time, onsite position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime as business needs require. Pay ranges from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. You will complete facility repairs, remodeling, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects while supporting safe, reliable plant operations. The ideal candidate brings strong carpentry and mechanical skills, manufacturing maintenance experience, and the ability to complete projects independently. What you'll do

• Complete framing, drywall, flooring, painting, ceiling, plumbing, and interior wall projects.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and utility systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Document work orders, materials, equipment status, and MRO activities in Proteus.
• Follow OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and company safety requirements.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Coordinate repairs with coworkers and contractors and maintain maintenance supply inventories.

What you'll bring

• At least 5 years of facility maintenance and remodeling experience, with strong independent carpentry skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; PLC experience a plus.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics, use diagnostic meters, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Forklift, pallet jack, and scissor lift experience with ability to obtain company certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and frequently walk and bend.
