Fabric Data Engineer (onsite)

About the role

The Momba Group is assisting a key client in their search for an experienced Data Engineer who is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that power the Microsoft Fabric data warehouse , serving as the organization's single source of truth. This role owns ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and preparation of data for reporting, analytics, AI, and machine learning use cases. Location: 100% onsite in the Des Moines, IA metro Salary target: $90,000 - $120,000

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines into Microsoft Fabric.
• Architect and maintain the Fabric medallion
• Lakehouse structure (bronze, silver, gold).
• Develop best practices for data infrastructure, environments, and Git version control.
• Own pipeline orchestration, monitoring, governance, and documentation.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Prepare data for AI/ML use cases including RAG and vector embeddings.
• Manage Fabric performance, capacity planning, and workspace organization.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and data quality issues. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 3-5 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar experience.
• Python, PySpark, and/or T-SQL experience.
• Data modeling, governance, and warehousing experience. CERTIFICATIONS Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, or similar certifications preferred. NOTE: Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
