Freeform's autonomous metal 3D printing systems rely on world-class 5-axis CNC machining to deliver production-ready parts to aerospace, defense, and industrial customers. As output increases, the company needs experienced machinists who can set up, run, and optimize multi-axis CNC equipment in a fast-moving production environment. As a CNC Machinist (5-Axis), you'll be critical to ensuring precision, repeatability, and throughput across demanding programs. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate 5-axis DMG Mori and Haas CNC machines Run complex precision parts from blueprints, drawings, and schematics Hold tight tolerances (typically 0.001" and tighter , depending on part) Perform on-machine and manual deburring and finishing Inspect parts using on-machine probing, micrometers, indicators, and thread gauges Manage routine machine maintenance and cutting-fluid systems Support process-improvement initiatives focused on throughput and efficiency Collaborate with programmers and engineers to refine machining strategies This is a hands-on machining role , not an operator-only position.
