We're looking for experienced CNC Machinists who can independently set up complex jobs, determine machining strategies, and consistently produce high-quality parts from blueprints and engineering drawings. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC machining centers with minimal supervision Interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering drawings to produce precision parts Determine machining sequences, tooling, fixtures and workholding requirements Perform complex setups for prototype and production work Machine a variety of materials while maintaining close tolerances Inspect parts throughout production using precision measuring equipment Utilize advanced shop math, geometry and trigonometry during setup and machining Move materials and completed parts throughout the shop as needed Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Assist and mentor less experienced machinists when appropriate Machines, Equipment & Inspection Tools You'll regularly work with: Machines CNC Machining Centers Tool Grinders Surface Grinders Inspection Equipment Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Optical Comparator Digital Height Gages Micrometers Precision Measuring Instruments Materials You'll Work With This position involves machining a variety of materials used in high-performance manufacturing applications.
