Bonus details will be discussed during the hiring process. Why This Role Exists This role exists to support growing aerospace production demand across precision turning operations. At Barnes Aerospace, this position plays a key role in machining forged aerospace components to tight tolerances for long-term commercial and defense programs. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC turning centers in a production environment Run multiple machines within a machining cell when feasible Machine aerospace forgings and components to tight tolerances ( .001") Read and interpret blueprints, tool setup sheets, and operation instructions Perform first-piece and in-process inspection using precision tools Load and unload parts manually or using hoists Adjust offsets, replace tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues Maintain quality and safety standards throughout production Machines, Controls & Software Machines: Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Mori Seiki turning centers Controls: Fanuc Inspection Tools: Micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, profilometers Materials You'll Work With Inconel Titanium Stainless Steel Aluminum What We're Looking ForRequired: 3+ years CNC turning experience Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T Experience with setups, offsets, and tool changes Comfortable holding tight tolerances Strong problem-solving and attention to detail Preferred: Aerospace machining experience Multi-machine / cell experience Fanuc control familiarity Why Machinists Like Working Here Stable aerospace programs Modern CNC equipment Clean, organized shop 15% shift differential Opportunity to grow skills across machines $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $28 - $38/hr (DOE) Shift Differential: % Additional Incentives: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Benefits: Medical, dental, vision (start 1st of month after hire) 401(k): 50% match on first 6% + 4% annual contribution PTO: 2 weeks + 4 floating holidays Quarterly incentives + annual bonus potential 100% education reimbursement after 1 year Flex time program + Calm app discounts Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM Overtime available (not required) Apply Apply directly through hireCNC.
