Quick Facts: Location: 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY 42003 Start Date: 12/24/2026 End Date/Duration: Flexible, based on availability Shift: 24 hours, 7 am 7 am Hours/week: 40+ hours (based on schedule) Employment Type: Locum/Temporary Licensure/Certifications: Required (state license or eligibility) Experience: Significant adult cardiac surgery experience required Pay & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay rate (discussed upon application) Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You ll Do: Perform adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG, heart valve repair/replacement, and redo cases Conduct general thoracic procedures such as tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, pericardial window Support structural heart procedures in hybrid OR/cath lab settings Manage ICU care for high-risk cardiac patients, including Impella procedures Collaborate with ancillary staff, including experienced first assists and anesthesiology teams Ensure documentation and case management adhere to hospital protocols What You Need: Medical license to practice in Kentucky or eligibility for licensure Proven experience in adult cardiac and thoracic surgery Ability to handle high-acuity ICU cases and complex surgeries Exceptional teamwork and communication skills About the Assignment: This opportunity is situated at Lourdes Hospital, a well-respected facility known for its specialized cardiac and thoracic surgical services.
