As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor in our OB Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in guiding clinical teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting families during some of life's most critical and meaningful moments. Position Details: What You'll Do Coordinate patient placement and staff assignments to ensure safe, efficient care deliverySupport and assist clinical staff with patient care and unit operationsServe as a clinical resource for nurses, patients, and familiesStep in as a staff nurse as needed based on patient acuitySupervise and direct clinical activities, responding to rapidly changing patient conditionsCollaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teamsParticipate in staff education, onboarding, and ongoing trainingLead and contribute to quality improvement initiativesAssist with departmental operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource utilizationHelp maintain inventory, equipment, and overall unit environmentRepresent the department on committees and organizational initiatives What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing programLicensure: Active RN license (or compact license) meeting all state board requirementsExperience: Minimum of 2 years of patient care experienceCertification:BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hireAdditional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, NRP, C-EFM, PALS, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisor or leadership experienceBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)Experience in OB, emergency, or high-acuity settingsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularlyProlonged standing and walking throughout shiftsFrequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and movement required Why Mercy?
