This CNC Machinist role is critical to maintaining consistent, high-quality production across mill and lathe operations in a regulated medical environment. You'll play a direct role in producing precision components where quality, process control, and repeatability truly matter. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC mills or CNC lathes (single- and multi-spindle) Run production jobs while maintaining tight quality standards Read and interpret part prints, job orders, and operation control plans Adjust offsets, tooling, feeds, speeds, and depth of cut as required Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using approved measuring devices Monitor SPC and process control data to ensure compliance Load bar stock and install collets, bushings, and stock pushers Change, position, and secure tooling using presetting and tool monitoring systems Review cycle times, spindle RPMs, and machine performance Perform daily operator maintenance and maintain lubricants and coolants Enter production and quality data into Epicor (MRP) and related systems Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area Participate in continuous improvement activities and tooling trials Machines, Controls & Systems You'll work with: Equipment: CNC Mills and CNC Lathes (single & multi-spindle) Controls: CNC-controlled production equipment Systems: Epicor (MRP), SPC tools, process control documentation Inspection: Precision measuring tools for first-piece and in-process inspection What We're Looking For Required 3-5+ years of CNC machining experience (mill or lathe) Ability to perform setups and make adjustments during production Strong blueprint reading and tolerance interpretation skills Experience performing first-piece and in-process inspections Comfortable working long shifts in a production environment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work on your feet for 10-12 hour shifts Preferred (Not Required) Multi-spindle experience Medical manufacturing or regulated industry experience Familiarity with SPC and structured process control environments Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Autocam Medical because: Stable, long-term medical manufacturing work Clean, organized, process-driven shop environment Team-oriented culture with a strong focus on quality and safety Consistent schedules with weekends free Opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Pay, Shift & Benefits Highlights 15% shift differential for 2nd shift Full-time, consistent weekday schedules Team-based manufacturing environment Emphasis on safety, quality, and process stability Benefits package available (details discussed during interview) Apply Interested CNC Machinists can apply directly through hireCNC.
