We're looking for an organized and motivated Tool Crib Attendant / Tooling Technician to help keep production running efficiently. This position plays an important role in supporting our machinists by ensuring tooling is organized, available, and ready before every job begins. If you enjoy working in a manufacturing environment and want an opportunity to grow your machining knowledge while supporting a busy CNC shop, we'd love to hear from you. ️ What you'll be doing As our Tool Crib Attendant / Tooling Technician, you'll help manage the tooling that keeps production moving. Responsibilities include: Maintain and organize the tool crib Issue and receive cutting tools, inserts, holders, collets, and shop supplies Maintain tooling inventory and reorder consumables Assemble and preset tooling for upcoming machine setups Verify tooling is complete, clean, and production ready Coordinate with setup machinists and supervisors to prepare upcoming jobs Receive, inspect, and stock incoming tooling and supplies Label and organize tooling for quick identification and retrieval Monitor tooling wear and identify damaged tooling Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Support production with additional shop duties as needed ️ Machines, controls & equipment You'll support machining operations that include: CNC Equipment Citizen Swiss Machines Miyano Turning Centers Nakamura CNC Lathes Eurotech CNC Machines Tooling Cutting tools Tool holders Inserts Collets Drills End mills Taps Reamers Precision measuring equipment Shop highlights Family-owned company since 1976 Nearly 50 years of machining excellence Semiconductor, aerospace, and defense work Modern CNC Swiss and turning equipment Stable, growing precision machine shop ISO 9001 Certified manufacturer Opportunity to learn alongside experienced machinists Career growth within manufacturing Materials you'll work with You'll primarily support tooling used to machine: Aluminum Stainless Steel Heat-treated alloys Other precision machining materials What we're looking forRequired 1+ years of manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred Strong organizational skills Attention to detail Comfortable using computers for inventory tracking Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Dependable with a strong work ethic Preferred Experience working in a CNC machine shop Familiarity with cutting tools, inserts, holders, drills, end mills, taps, and reamers Ability to read tooling documentation and basic blueprints Mechanical aptitude Purchasing or inventory experience Training is available for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
