This opening is for an experienced machinist who can take an established CNC lathe program and turn it into a reliable, in-spec production run: reading the print, building the setup, and proving it out before signing off on first pieces. Programming knowledge is welcome but not required - the priority is speed and accuracy on setup, offsets, and tooling changes on single-turret horizontal lathes. What you'll be doing Perform complete CNC lathe setups from established programs and setup documentation Install and indicate workholding, tooling, jaws, and fixtures Set tool and work offsets Safely prove out programs and complete first-piece inspections Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gages, and other inspection equipment Make offset and tooling adjustments to maintain part quality Troubleshoot tooling, setup, and machining issues Complete required production and quality documentation Machines, controls and software Single-turret horizontal CNC lathes, including models with Y-axis and Y-axis/sub-spindle capability, running Fanuc controls. What we're looking for Required: Previous experience independently setting up CNC lathes Strong blueprint-reading and inspection skills Ability to work with close tolerances Working knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining practices Ability to identify and correct setup or process problems Preferred: CNC programming or program-editing experience Pay, benefits and schedule Pay is up to $35 per hour, full-time.
