This CNC Maintenance Technician role exists to protect uptime, improve reliability, and support continuous improvement across production and facility systems. You'll be a key technical resource-solving complex problems, preventing downtime, and helping the operation run safer, smarter, and more efficiently. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on CNC production, quality, and inspection equipment Diagnose root causes and implement permanent corrective actions Apply Lock-Out / Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures at all times Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Perform machine repairs involving tooling, alignments, and mechanical components Support 5S, workflow optimization, and equipment placement initiatives Assist with relocating and installing machinery in compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards Obtain and operate licensed equipment (lift trucks, cranes, man-lifts, articulating lifts) Fabricate minor machine parts, guards, fixtures, and brackets as needed Operate basic shop equipment (welder, torch, mill, drill press, band saw) Perform basic machine building, rebuilding, and component repair (valves, cylinders, pumps, clutches) Support minor building and facility repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring) Stay current with new technologies impacting productivity, safety, and quality Maintain a strong focus on safety, housekeeping, and compliance Equipment, Systems & Technology You'll work with: CNC Equipment: 3-, 5-, and multi-axis CNC machines Systems: Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems Controls: CNC controls and machine electrical systems Additional Exposure (Plus): PLCs, robotics, automation What We're Looking For Required 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience Solid understanding of mechanical systems and machine principles Ability to differentiate between mechanical, electrical, and setup-related issues Experience working safely around heavy equipment and machinery Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (occasionally more) Willingness to work in physically demanding and sometimes uncomfortable positions Preferred (Not Required) CNC-specific maintenance experience 5-axis or multi-axis CNC exposure PLC troubleshooting experience Robotics or automation experience Programming or control system troubleshooting experience Why Technicians Like Working Here Maintenance professionals choose Autocam Medical because: Stable 1st shift, Monday-Friday schedule Technically challenging work with advanced CNC equipment Strong emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance Team-oriented manufacturing environment Real impact on uptime, quality, and continuous improvement Pay, Benefits & Schedule Full-time, weekday 1st shift role Competitive compensation based on experience Benefits package available (details discussed during interview) Long-term stability in medical manufacturing Apply Interested CNC Maintenance Technicians can apply directly through hireCNC.
