This role is built for a CNC programmer who wants ownership of machining strategy from start to finish. You will develop and refine Mastercam programs, choose tooling and workholding approaches, and work directly with machinists to improve setup, cycle time, and part quality. Your programs will be treated as an important part of the production system-not simply files handed off to the floor. The work includes both milling and turning, with multi-axis experience especially valuable. You will also help strengthen programming standards, documentation, templates, and revision control as the operation grows. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving difficult machining problems, collaborating with the shop floor, and continuously improving how parts are produced. ️ What you'll be doing Create, refine, and troubleshoot CNC programs in Mastercam Develop efficient toolpaths for milling and turning work Support 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining strategies where applicable Select tooling, cutting strategies, and workholding solutions Partner with machinists to improve setups, cycle times, and quality Troubleshoot machining problems and implement practical solutions Maintain organized program documentation and revision control Support quoting with machining strategy and time estimates Help develop programming templates, standards, and best practices ️ Machines, controls & software Mastercam is required CNC milling and turning processes 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining experience is a plus Shop highlights End-to-end ownership of CNC programming strategy Direct collaboration with machinists and engineering Opportunity to improve cycle time and process consistency Influence over programming standards and templates Mix of milling, turning, and multi-axis work Full-time position in Waco Annual salary range of $85,000-$100,000 What we're looking for Required: 3+ years of CNC programming experience Strong Mastercam proficiency Solid understanding of milling and turning processes Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to collaborate directly with shop-floor teams Preferred: Multi-axis machining experience Experience supporting quoting and time estimates Experience developing programming templates or standards Pay, benefits & schedule Pay: $85,000-$100,000 per year Job Type: Full Time About Gró HR Consulting Gró HR Consulting provides recruitment and hiring support for growing organizations.
