About the role

Project Manager Electric Machinery Company. a division of WEG Electric Corp. Minneapolis, Minnesota Leads and directs development and execution of projects (from receipt of order to fulfillment of the contract). Ensures customer satisfaction, develops relationships, protects the Company's position, and maximizes the project objectives (quality, financial, and schedule). Acts as the single point of contact with customers on projects and is the project subject matter expert internally. Creates and maintains the Project Plans; ensures necessary support is obtained from Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and other departments to meet the project objectives and/or milestones. Establish a schedule of activities leading to the completion of the contract with clear milestones, deliverables and defined acceptance criteria; enter order into ERP system. Reviews customer Purchase Order/Contract requirements (Proposal, C ensuring in-process, functional, final/acceptance, and customer witness testing is performed and documented. Manages Customer Surveys; proactively solicits timely feedback. Willing to travel up to 5% of the time to visit customer and vendor sites as required. Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs. Four (4) year degree in Project Management, Engineering or other relevant field or equivalent work experience. Experience managing full-cycle projects is preferred but not required. Strong customer interaction and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ensuring clear and professional exchanges with customers, management, and project teams. Proven leadership and decision-making abilities, with a high degree of personal and professional ethics and integrity. Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively with peers, management, and cross-functional teams. Must be able to meet tight deadlines; handle multiple assignments on a consistent basis and effectively maintain schedules and milestones; efficiently and effectively manage completion of projects. Strong PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office applications. Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Project required. Technical knowledge in motors, generators, or other rotating machines is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with electrical industrial equipment, power electronics, or rotating machines and how they function within a system is beneficial. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (NEMA, IEEE, IEC Nuclear, ISO9001, CE Marking, OSHA, etc.) is helpful but not mandatory. Willingness to learn and adapt to compliance requirements is key. Experience with SAP or other work management software is preferred but not required. Candidates with the ability to quickly learn new systems are encouraged to apply. Several tasks require to work in leaning over, extended back position repeatedly, occasionally tight spaces, squatting, and kneeling. Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities. This requires climbing stairs and moving over, around, and about shop machinery. Have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds unassisted. This position requires working in the office at least 90% of the time, with limited remote work opportunities. Starting at $70,000 up to $110,000 depending on experience. Company cannot provide sponsorship for this position. Please, no agencies.
