NPI Engineering Program Manager, Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics

About the role

Lead the New Product Introduction process for Amazon Devices Reverse Logistics within the Hardware Service Engineering team. Define warranty and returns strategies, develop global screening and repair processes, improve product serviceability, manage repair cost models, and coordinate cross-functional product launches. Domestic and international travel of up to 20% is required.

What you'll do

• Define customer-facing and internal warranty and returns strategies for new complex products
• Assess hardware designs and drive design-for-serviceability and repairability decisions
• Develop and deploy disassembly, assembly, parts reclamation, screening, repair, and refurbishment processes
• Own repair service cost models and balance cost, quality, and product recovery
• Apply Design of Experiment methods to launch repeatable and reliable repair processes
• Deliver repair documentation, service offerings, and spare-parts offerings
• Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to validate tooling, test fixtures, and service solutions
• Lead cross-functional stakeholders and maintain accountability for the Reverse Logistics NPI strategy
• Measure service and repair costs against financial targets
• Develop programs that reuse refurbished parts and reduce warranty costs

What you'll bring

• At least 5 years of customer-facing product development and product management experience, including defining, launching, and optimizing products and service experiences
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services under tight deadlines preferred
• End-to-end product delivery experience preferred
• Experience with data and AI technologies such as AI/ML, generative AI, analytics, databases, or storage preferred
• Experience in reverse logistics, service engineering, product design, manufacturing tooling, or process development preferred
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
